Floating City

So I just got back home from work.

Today was gloriously exhausting because there's been a

pre-wedding shoot and it was done at Raffles Hotel.

One of the location was at Long Bar in the hotel and it was fun cause apparently you throw peanut shells on the floor

after you're done with it.

Guess what.

We ended up throwing ALOT of peanuts as we decided it

would make a really amusing prop for a photo.

So scattered all over the floor were tons and tons of

UNSHELLED nuts. -.-

I kinda embarrassed myself unknowingly when I spotted

huge gunnysacks of peanuts sitting nearby and joked to the waiter asking him

if "I could bring home a sack of your nuts?"

I only realized my gaffe when the shoot ended and we were leaving and was wondering why the waiter had a strange smile

on his face.

FML.

Its been rather busy for the past few weeks since the day I started work.

Just practically threw myself in blinded into the superbly fun fiasco

with my colleagues whom I must say,

after getting to know them better

have eerily similar personalities like Inez.

(thankfully I'm somewhat used to her antics already so I am not too surprised by Raymond and Angeline's extreme randomness. )

I had alot of fun touching up photos, following and assisting in shoots

and watching couples pucker up to kiss in front of the camera.

Its such a sweet moment.

Really!

I'm happy for couples and I believe in love. . . . . .

but maybe not mine...

I'm kinda cynical about my love life actually.

Cynical to the point that I actually don't give a shit anymore okay?

I have my wet dreams when I sleep and thats love life enough!

Hiak hiak hiak.

Anyways...

I was having take out lunch the other week

when I noticed something was wrong with the fried egg.

Can you figure out whats wrong with it?

Its missing a fucking yolk!!!! :O

Shocking hahahaha.

Amusingly my colleague knows where her bf hides his ciggies,

in the drybox.

And everytime he hides his stash of ciggies she does this,

wrap it in loads of masking tape and vandalise it.

She joshed me about the masking tape being to maintain the freshness of the ciggies when in actuality its to hinder Raymond when he's opening a fresh pack haha.

When Angeline's through with the ciggies,

they look like this;

It amused me to no end seeing the end product of the cigarettes.

Oh I just kicked ass touching up and really modifying an image.

And it was awesomely satisfying tedious because it involved a bridal veil

over an empty patch of wall and I had to DI in the mosaic tiles intoth background behind the

veil so that the entire background would look constant and more impactful.

I would really love to show you the final product of the image.

I'll see what I can do hahahahaha.

The Way We Met

I finally changed my desktop after such a long time!

I like my new desktop theme <:

So I went to Yina's the other day with Farah to photograph her dog.

Meet the newest addition to the Goh Family!

QQ the mini Yorkie!

She's really small.

She's about the size of two cans put together.

And so adorable. She runs around the room and is ever oh so curious.

This is how small she is.

And she really cautious about going near bed edges now.

From what I heard she fell from the bed or somewhere once and

was momentarily conked out lol.

So whenever she goes near the edge she'll be like.

*peering over*

Yina: "No baby don't go there if you fall off you will DAIIIIII....."

*Peers somemore*

I like her fur.

Especially the patch at the crown of her head.

See how it splits in such a way that it looks spiked?

Its such typical baby hair/fur/fuzz??? that looks so cute.

And this is Nana's dad.

Who's amusingly besotted with QQ.

He'd call her and she'll pad over.

And he'll pick her up and brush her.

Uncle:" QQ come here~!"

*brushes QQ*

Yina: " Dee' the brush is bigger than the dog lor brush what la... -.-|| "

Didn't really get to take much pictures sadly cause QQ's daddy was protective

and won't let her out of sight.

Although we have plans to one day ninja QQ out of the master bedroom

when daddy is not paying attention.

I have a particular shot in mind where there's this lovely window alcove

and the sun is just shining in merrily.

We pretty much wrapped it up and went downstairs to rest.

And met the resident dog/horse Pepper.

She's got such floppy bangs I wonder how she can see when

she runs/scrabbles on the tiles like mad.

I look forward to the day when I return to photograph the dogs again.

For now I have an upcoming hamster shoot that I'm looking forward to.

I've got some new themes I wanna try out and one of it involves helium!

Farah's gotten 2 kitties and

they're such darlings!

Gabriel and Angelo.

They're both brothers. . . . somewhat.

Okay I was joshing you.

They're really brothers.

Angelo seems to be the more active of the 2.

He likes to chase twine.

He chases it until he pants noisily from exhaustion

and he still wants to continue chasing the twine.

Apparently as long as something moves

Angelo will play with it.

He has this really comically peculiar way of resting.

A rather amusing throwback to of cats looking dignified.

Kinda reminds me of girls sitting with their legs hitched up and

their skirts wide open exposing their fannies.

Gabriel is the more dignified of the lot.

He rests dignified.

He's an avid reader and also a part time librarian/ feather duster.

Forever curious.

and he loves to chew my fingers.

I've been getting lazy lately.

Not really getting into much mood of blogging.

Goodness knows if its even interesting or not

but maybe its just me.

About a week ago I got a massive dose

of reality check kicked into my head.

Kinda woke me up and brought me back down

to earth.

Anywho~

Did a baby photoshoot the other day for a friend's

newborn niece.

The shoot went okay I guess.

I won't say that there's any really fantastic

or terrible shots;

its not bad for a first attempt but

I can do better on

my second or third try.

Definitely gonna ask to do another shoot again.

Nechan's got two new kitties!

And I've just seen the photos.

They're such gorgeous fluffies

with huge paws.

I swear you can play thumbwars with them

and lose.

Can't wait to photograph them and

challenge them to thumbwars. :)

Followed my friend to somewhere the other day

to shoot cats.

It was a rather interesting place

with a really colorful sordid juicy history.

Lets start off with my friend.

Tried my hand at shooting streets.

I love blue skies.

I happened to be shooting this cat

When my friend told me to look at the window above me.

He was laughing so hard he nearly peed his pants.

Tadaaaaaa!

The kitty that was peeping at me from the windows!

Such a curious lil kitty.

Came to investigate the strange clicking sounds.

When we were leaving the area I spotted another cat

from the same house peeking at us.

It was hilarious.

Quite alot of cats live in this place here including

Peeky Cat 1. and Peeky Cat 2.

The black and white kitty in the foreground is quite

OCD and kept licking itself the whole while.

"Wut?"

We went for a quick drink at a coffeeshop nearby

before continuing our hunt for cats.

The way this cat stretched was so symmetrical.

It made me want to stretch myself.

The same cat decided to jump up a barrel.

What if kitty goes Boom?

Would its 9 lives be sufficient?

Such a manja cat that patiently allowed us to

photograph it.

This dog scared the shit outta me.

My friend happened to walk by a door

when he point waved at the door.

I thought there was a cat and hurried forward to look

when suddenly it lunged out barking furiously.

Thankfully it was leashed up.

Although at the end of the day my friend

walked past a gate which had a really dark interior

when suddenly he got ambushed by a crazy yorkshire terrier

yapping at him madly.

This Kitten is just too cute.

We both wondered if this was the parent.

More blue skies and symmetry!

Before we left for home there was this sick kitty.

It had nothing to eat

save for that bowl of strange porridge

that had been sitting out for goodness knows how long.

It crawled over to lap feverishly at the muck before

climbing up the steps to sit in the shade.

Finally got the shot I wanted :)

Somewhere near a friend's house.

I was walking by one day during the evening

when I saw this.

Simply beautiful.

Went out to practise shooting some night scenes with a friend.

Kinda had fun.

I think I'm falling in love with reflections too.

Is it me?

Or Adobe Gamma disappeared from my control panel?

I need to get my monitor calibrated

and suddenly I notice that Adobe Gamma is missing.

How annoying.

I wasted several hours today

RE-reformatting my pc.

So that Sing-fucking-net can detect the modem,

So that msn can fucking connect.......

Guess what?

Singnet finally detected my modem,

but for some reason I still could not access my internet.

I had to setup a temporary network using windows network.

Msn STILL refused to connect and even hanged on me!!

I finally solved the problems all,

one by one.

Apparently my firewall was blocking several of my processes,

svshost.exe

and that affected Singnet.

Apparently Windowblinds was screwing me over;

and msn too.

Cause it somehow caused msn to freeze and hang after logging me in.

I changed the theme finally for once in.....

3 years since I got the program?

So I unblocked all svchosts.exe processes;

and I accessed my internet just fine.

I rebooted windowblinds ONLY after

I log in to msn messenger and it works fine

without hanging or freezing.

After finally fixing all my problems,

Adobe Gamma decided to play hide & seek

with me so that I can't calibrate my monitor.

What a shitty day it truly was.
